From sketch to ramp.
A three-stage program: Design → Prototyping → Mass Production.
How a custom program runs.
Typical timeline: 6–10 weeks to first sample, 10–14 weeks to mass production. Same project manager from kick-off through PMS.
Design Support
Free DFM review on your CAD and power profile. We recommend chemistry, geometry, BMS topology and connector.
- 3-day feasibility note
- Cell-sizing & thermal model
- Compliance pre-check
Prototyping
Functional A/B/C samples on the pilot line. Same equipment as MP, MOQ from 100 pcs.
- A-sample in 2 weeks
- Full electrical reports
- UN 38.3 / IEC 62133 ready
Mass Production
Automated assembly with cell-level traceability, up to 500k pcs / month per line.
- Serial-number traceability
- SPC + CPK on every batch
- 10-year retention of test data
What “fast” actually means.
The reasons hardware leads tell us they stayed.
Custom is hard. Lots of suppliers will quote it — far fewer will own it through ramp.
One PM, end to end
The engineer who quotes the program also signs off the production routing. No hand-offs.
Pilot ≡ MP
Pilot line uses the same winding, stacking and sealing equipment as MP — process parameters transfer cleanly.
NDA in 1 day
Mutual NDA, no legal back-and-forth. We sign so you can send drawings and BOMs.
Compliance owned by us
UN 38.3, IEC 62133, UL 1642, KC, CE — we file, you receive certificates with shipment.
BOM transparency
You see actual cathode, anode, separator, electrolyte and casing suppliers. No black-box BOMs.
Datasheet within 5 days
Full datasheet (electrical, mechanical, abuse, transport) released with first samples — not after MP.
Who runs custom programs with us.
From garage stage to listed companies — we adjust the level of formality, not the engineering rigour.
Tier-1 OEMs
Several long-term consumer-electronics OEM programs running on dedicated MP cells with on-site QA representation and signed quality agreements.
Series-B / C startups
About half our active book. Typical: pre-production hardware, 1–5k MOQ, fast iteration on capacity and BMS.
Medical device makers
ISO 13485-aligned line, DHF and design-control documentation, IEC 60601 leakage testing, full BOM traceability for 10+ years.
Defence / aerospace
Selective engagement only after security review. ITAR-free BOM where required.
Common questions before kick-off.
What's the minimum order quantity for a fully custom design?
3,000 pcs is the typical custom MOQ once we ramp. For prototypes during the program (A/B/C samples) we accept 100–500 pcs.
Is there an NRE for tooling and design work?
Tooling NRE depends on the geometry; a typical pouch-cell tool is USD 8–15k. Design NRE is usually waived if you commit to a forecast above 50k pcs/year. We'll be transparent in the feasibility quote.
Can you sign a quality agreement?
Yes — standard for medical and key OEM customers. We use either your template or our IATF-aligned template, signed before MP starts.
Do you support second-source qualification?
Yes. If we're your second source we will match drawings exactly and run a 4-week qualification including dimensional, capacity, IR, abuse and cycle. We don't ask to redesign.
What if my volumes are smaller than 3,000 pcs?
Below MOQ we can keep the program on the pilot line with a per-piece adder. We've run continuous 500-pcs/month medical programs that way for years.
Have a CAD file ready?
Upload it with your inquiry and we'll return a DFM proposal within 3 working days. NDA available before any drawing exchange.
