A common mistake at our scale is to split R&D from MP onto two sites; we deliberately don't. Cell engineers walk to the formation room daily, and process tweaks discovered on the pilot line transfer to MP within hours, not weeks.

Lab + pilot + three MP lines under one roof, with an in-line dry-room (-40 °C dew point) shared across the polymer lines and a dedicated humidity-controlled bay for coin-cell crimping. Automated material handling between formation grading and packaging.

Cleanroom medical line

Class 100K cleanroom inside the same facility for IEC 60601-aligned production. Gowned operators, particle counters, DHF documentation. Used for medical and aerospace programs where biocompatibility and sterile packaging matter.

Production Lines

Five purpose-built lines under one quality system.

Each line uses equipment optimised for its geometry, but they share document control, supplier audits, formation parameters and the same MES. Process changes discovered on the pilot line transfer to MP cleanly within hours.

L1

Polymer Li-Po (MP)

Z-stacking up to 60 layers, vacuum sealing, formation in 8 stages. Capable of 0.4 mm minimum thickness, 200 × 150 mm maximum footprint. Capacity ~50k cells / month.

L2

Custom-Shape Li-Po (MP)

In-house tooling shop — new geometry tools delivered in 25-35 days. Round, curved (R ≥ 25 mm), stepped, notched. Capacity ~25k cells / month.

L3

Coin Steel-Shell Lithium (MP)

LIR1620 / LIR2025 / LIR2032 / LIR2450 / LIR2477 (Li-ion 3.6 V) and ML2032 / ML2430 (Li-MnO₂ 3.0 V) formats. Hermetic crimp, reflow-compatible options. Capacity ~25k cells / month.

L4

Pack Assembly

Spot and laser welding, BMS integration, plastic and aluminium housings. IP65 / IP67 ratings. CAN, RS485, SMBus protocols. Capacity ~5k packs / month.

L5

Cleanroom (Medical)

Class 100K cleanroom for IEC 60601-aligned production. Gowned operators, particle counters, DHF documentation. Single-use sterile-pack assembly available.

PL

Pilot Line (NPI)

Same winding / stacking / sealing equipment as L1/L2, just at 1/10 scale. Where new geometries get qualified before MP transfer. Process parameters log directly into the MES used by L1-L3.

Quality Control

Inspection at every stage.

Every cell goes through 100% in-line OCV / IR inspection plus CCD visual check at the seal step — the routine measurements that protect against the most common cell-level failures. Other tests (capacity grading, cycle-life sampling, abuse) follow lot-based sampling per IEC 62133 / customer spec. Lot-level summary reports go out within one business day of each batch.

Incoming materials

Cathode, anode, separator, electrolyte, casing — QC sampled from every lot. Annual supplier audits.

AQL sampling on packaging, drop test on cartons, full UN 38.3 documentation per lot.

We host customer audits every week. Document control is live, not staged. Your auditor can pick any cell from your last shipment and we can show every parameter that touched it.
