Why we built another battery company.
Started in 2018, in a converted machine shop.
Our founders are senior cell engineers who spent the prior decade in cell-development teams at established Chinese cell manufacturers. They wanted to build a shop that put R&D at the centre, not at the periphery: a place where the engineer who designs your cell is the engineer who tunes the formation profile, debugs the reject cells, and signs off on the BOM. Eight years in, that's still the operating principle — just at a 100-person scale instead of 8.
Eight years on, the rule has not changed.
We’re an R&D-led shop. The team is mostly cell engineers, formation specialists and QC; assembly-line operators are a minority. The PM who quotes your job is the PM who signs off the production routing. The QA lead who handles your audit is the same one who reviews your CAPA two years later. There is no transfer of ownership inside our walls.

Three principles, repeated until they're boring.
If you talk to four different engineers here, you will hear these phrases inside the first hour. They are how we hire, how we route work, and how we say no.
The cell is part of the device.
We refuse to ship anything before we understand how it sits inside your enclosure, what other heat sources are nearby, and how it gets charged. Drop a battery into a thermal trap and a great cell becomes a bad device.
Boring is the goal.
A battery program should not be exciting. Exciting means surprises. We over-document, over-trace and over-test — so when you ship a million units, the units are boring.
The PM is the customer’s engineer.
Our project managers carry your interests inside our walls. If a process change degrades cycle life by 4% to save 8% cost, the PM has the standing to say no on your behalf.
